About

I was raised by an incredibly crafty momma who was my girl scout troop leader and an early upcycler (I still treasure going home and raiding her basement for various art supplies!), so I've been creating for as long as I can remember. Now, I have a number of artistic interests, from data visualization, graphic design, and biological illustration to fiber art, sewing, photography, and more. By day, I'm a marine ecologist, environmental educator, and labor organizer who recently defended my dissertation on disturbances to restored oyster reefs. I use art and comedy as respite from the constant, grinding work of dismantling systems of oppression, and am currently on creative sabbatical.
